W&S Attorney Louis Cohan Successfully Defends Client in FDCPA Jury Trial

Weinstock & Scavo attorney Louis Cohan has successfully defended the firm's client against alleged violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act.

The firm’s growing practice area defending debt collectors is headed by our partner, Louis Cohan.  Louis Cohan, along with associate Matt Rosenkoff have again successfully defended one of our clients.  In this case, after nearly 2 years of litigation, it took a Fulton County jury only 35 minutes to enter a verdict for our client in this case.  The plaintiff was seeking actual damages in an unlimited sum, statutory damages, and attorneys’ fees and costs.

For more information on our practice, defending collectors, collection agencies, debt buyers, lawyers and law firms in cases involving the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Georgia Fair Business Practices Act and other consumer protection cases, please contact Louis Cohan at 404-231-3999.
