Mark I. Sanders joined the firm in 1994 and is a partner in the firm’s transactional practice group. Mr. Sanders focuses on the areas of real estate, resort and land development, hospitality law, including representation of restaurants and related alcohol licensing, general corporate and commercial practice, including acquisition, financing and business transactions, secured transactions, securitization, trade practice law, marketing law and litigation related to these practice areas. He has had experience in a wide variety of business and finance transactions for both private and public companies, as well as in civil litigation matters, including commercial, employment and trade practice disputes.
Mr. Sanders is a member of the State Bar of Georgia (Member, Real Property and Business Law Sections), District of Columbia Bar, New York State Bar Association and American Bar Association (Member, Business Law Section). He is admitted to practice in all Georgia State and Superior Courts, the Georgia Court of Appeals, the Georgia Supreme Court, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Georgia (Federal Court), the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals (Federal Court) and the United States Supreme Court.
Mr. Sanders earned his B.A. in History from the University of Michigan in 1991and his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 1994, where he was a member of The University of Miami Law Review.
